We’ve seen them since the 1970’s. Solar panels would catch our eyes as we drove past modern new homes, and we wondered how much it cost to install those huge solar panels and if they were really worth the cost and the effort. Now, 40 years later, we are seeing them becoming increasingly popular again, but they are different. The panels are smaller, require very little maintenance, and are much more affordable. They save energy and they save money.
