Planting a Garden with Kids

• Let Them Run the Garden

You can really make your kids feel like they are being independent if you let them run the garden.  This means that you should teach them what to do and then back away and let them do it.  Show them how they need to be watering, pruning, and weeding the garden and then watch them do it.  This is a great way to teach them some responsibility, but they will still be having a lot of fun when they are working on their garden.  This is a great way to instill independence in your children.
